Symbiosis International University conducts Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design SEED in order to offer admissions to aspirants in B.Des programmes offered at Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). Bachelor of Design (B.Des) is an undergraduate academic degree programme. There are various streams in B.Des for example - apparel, fashion and gadget. If you want to go for a course which is more industry oriented, then go for something like product designing or transportation designing. The scope of B.Des is not poor. It is a good course and I think it you have lot of opportunity after completing B.Des in almost all design companies like other professions. I hope will get a wonderful job after the course.

NIFT has two levels of entrance exam. The first level is the CAT & GAT ( creative and general ability test) this essentially checks your English, maths, analytical, design and sketching skills. Once you qualify this you are eligible for the situation text that comprises of 3D model making. On the basis of the combined result of both these levels you are allotted a rank. This rank then further is instrumental for getting you a centre/course at any of the NIFT Campuses. If you have a low rank you might not even be allotted a center as all seats get occupied. There is NO interview round for B. Des course at NIFT.

It depends from which college you want to graduate. But some of the common exams are:
1) NID Exam is on 7th January and the application starts from 25th September.
2) UCEED Exam is on 21st January and the application starts from 9th October.

Yes, you are eligible.
Eligibility for Bachelor of Design (B.Des).
Students who have cleared 10+2 successfully are eligible for this course, though some colleges ask for at least 50% marks in 10+2 for applying for Bachelor of Design. Along with the above mentioned basic eligibility, students have to clear the entrance exams as well to be eligible for the course.

Unfortunately, there is no course in B. Des that you can qualify after 10th. The minimum eligibility criterion is to complete your 12th standard from a recognised board of education.
