What does failure means friend. What my experience say is this. You never know what our passion is until class 12. When you are undergoing our graduation that time we feel this wasn't the right choice. So having a backlog is not failure, but you aren't interested in electrical kind of subject. If coding is passion and you are dedicated to be an engineer then Opt for a branch change or a different college. Second point is that if you feel engineering is not what you want to do. Then also there are many options. Go for pure Science, law, BBA and many other streams. First decide upon few things, whether you love engineering or whether engineering is not what you would like to pursue? All the best.

The detailed information about AMIE is given below. The eligibility criteria for AMIE is 10+2 with PCM with minimum 45% of aggregate marks or 3 years engineering Diploma course. Working Experience For AMIE : Working experience is needed while registering for AMIE (Section B). In AMIE (Section A), no experience is needed. Time Limit To Complete AMIE : 6 years for AMIE (Section A) (start from date of election) + 6 years for section B (start counting immediately after passing section A). Engineering Branches Covered In AMIE : Presently AMIE exams are being conducted in certain engineering branches like Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Production Engineering, Textile Engineering
You can do AMIE in any branch. However, you should prefer to do AMIE in same branch in which you did Diploma. Total papers in Section-A=10 (For Non Diploma stream)
Total papers in Section-B= 12 (For CSE) and 13 for ECE
So you are eligible for AMIE.

Then you have to click on Direct Second year Engineering (DSE). Post that, you have to register yourself by filling all the relevant fields and uploading the necessary documents as required and pay the required registration fee online. The admissions are based on merit (marks obtained in engineering Diploma). The online registrations will start from 10.07.2019 and will be end on 17.07.2019.
