For BTech admission at Yamuna Group of Institutions (YGI), candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects, and 45% (reserved 40%) in aggregate. On the basis of JEE Main scores and inter-se merit, YGI gives admission. Apart from that, lateral entry is also available to Diploma or B.Sc. students. YGI allows online application from the official YGI website or by visiting the campus physically. The shortlisted candidates are called for counselling, document verification, and payment of admission fees.

General category candidates should have a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in these subjects. Admission is on merit through TNEA or CBSE 12th marks. Vocational stream students studying engineering-related subjects are also qualified. Tamil Nadu nativity is usually a must, but it is exempt for children of central government personnel and some other groups.
