Candidates are selected based on the scores in written test and previous academic records.
Selection parameters and weightages:
Written Test 70%
Career 30%
Furthermore, if the number of applicants is less than the number of seats then only academic merit is considered during admission.

A candidate should have passed the Bachelors Degree / Masters Degree of any recognized University, with at least 50% marks and should have offered at least one school subject at graduation level as a principal or subsidiary or allied or an optional subject.

The admission is made based on the merit in the qualifying exam and according to the reservation policy mentioned in the prospectus.
Candidates need to fill the new admission form, exam form, as well as computer form in the general prospectus of the Directorate of Distance Education during the beginning of session say in the month of July or August.
Admission fees/dues are to be deposited only on demand from the Directorate after the declaration of merit list and finalization of admission.
