UP TGT/ PGT Eligibility & Selection Procedure 2016: U. P. Secondary Education Service Selection Board will be conducting UP TGT/ PGT Recruitment Examination 2016. UPSESSB is responsible for organising this state-level teacher recruitment exam. The board has now issued an official notification to invite all the interested male and female candidates to apply for the posts of Trained Graduate Teacher and Post Graduate Teacher. Age limit: 21-60 years (There is relaxation in age limit rules as per government norms). Nationality : A candidate for direct recruitment to the post of a teacher must be
a citizen of India; or
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st day of January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India; or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or any of the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar) with the intention of permanently settling in India. Physical Fitness: No candidate shall be eligible for appointment to the post of a teacher unless he be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of his duties. Educational Qualification:
For PGT: Candidates must have a Post-Graduation Degree in a relevant subject. For TGT: Candidates must possess a Graduation Degree in a relevant subject and B.Ed/BTC or any other training Certificate. In addition to this, the educational qualification for the candidate varies for every subject. You have completed B.Sc. Degree in Biochemistry and M.Sc. Degree in chemistry so you are not eligible for assistant teacher in Physics subject but you can apply for assistant teacher in chemistry through TET exam. TET stands for Teacher Eligibility Test. Two types of exam is conducted by TET:-
Primary stage (For becoming teachers from class I to V). Elementary stage (For becoming teachers from class VI to VIII). If you have completed 12th or its equivalent exam from recognised board with above 50% marks then you are eligible for Primary stage TET exam. If you have completed graduation degree from a recognised university then you are eligible for Elementary stage TET exam. Good luck.

The eligibility criteria of KVS TGT Science is given below. Eligibility criteria :
1. Bachelors Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subject and in aggregate. A) The candidate should have studied Botany, Zoology and Chemistry in all the years of graduation with at least 50% marks in each subject. Or
b) The candidates with Honours Degree in Botany/ Zoology/ Chemistry with at least 50% marks in B.Sc. Should have studied other two subjects with at least 50% marks in each of them at graduation level.
2) B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognised University.
3) Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test CTET Paper-II, conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
4) Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium. So from above you can be eligible if you have studied BZC subjects in all the three years of graduation. CTET is another important criteria for TGT Science.
