Congratulations on finishing your degree.
Since you have mentioned that you would want to continue for postgraduate studies, it is not clear if you want to continue on the same branch or management related branches.
Generally, marks don't matter if you score above sixty five percentage. However, your percentage might create problems.
For entry into IITs through GATE, you need minimum 60 percentage.
So I don't think you could get into IITs even with even good GATE scores.
But you could always get admission in private universities because they are there to make money. So it really doesn't matter to them. Before applying just check eligibility

Hi Paramjot, you can however check the admission requirements before applying. If you are planning to study in Ireland you need not take the GRE. Secondly no matter where you apply you have to demonstrate your interests and skills in the desired program of study. Coming from an engineering background and applying to a MFA course will be challenging but not impossible.

Hi Alina,
You may do so. Many students start afresh. However, you need to check with the universities, you will be considered if you have a good profile which you seem to have. They must be convinced that you won't discontinue your studies again. So, be sure of what you want before applying. Communicate with the universities, very important at this stage.

In India, we are having many prestigious institutions like IITs and NITs. It is better to pursue B.Tech from India. If you are more interested to study in Germany, then do MS there.

Cost of doing B.Tech and MS from USA is very high and Return on Investment (ROI) will be very low and poor. With USA work visa regime becoming tougher, you may not able to work in USA and earn in dollars to repay any loan. Therefore, I will like to advise you to do B.Tech from a good engineering college in India and then MS in USA.

For the past 2 years, VIT University has been ranked as the top private university in India. Other good private colleges are BITS Pilani, BIT Mesra, KIIT University, SRM University. It also depends on the branch of engineering you wish to opt for. I hope this answers your question to your satisfaction. If so, kindly upvote this answer. Hi Utkarsh, hotel management is a never dying sector. The scope is good. But for admissions, you have to convince the universities why you want to study hotel management after B.Tech. Have a clarity over your career plans and decide. Overall hospitality sector has good growth.
