No, IIT Dhanbad BTech admission is strictly entrance based. Admission to IIT Dhanbad BTech is allotted on the basis of candidates' performance in JEE Main exam, candidates who qualify IIT Dhabad JEE Main cutoff are then required to appear for JEE Advance followed by the counselling round conducted by JoSAA. JEE Main is also the eligibility test for JEE Advanced. The JET exam for B.Tech is of 150 marks having 5 subjects- Physics (30), Chemistry (30), Mathematics (30), LR (30), English (30). Time is 3 hours in online mode.
The cut off for JET B.Tech is released rank wise and the result can be accessed by the official sites. The cut off varies from course to course because of the seats available and the applicants for the course received.

The highest package of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jain Deemed -to -be University, Banglore for an B.Tech course was INR 30 LPA (2023). It was INR 42 LPA (2022) and on an average the placement is INR 7-8 LPA.
