DTU admission 2026 is open. All the latest updates regarding DTU admissions are as follows:
- The JAC Delhi 2026 counselling registration window for admission to the BTech course will tentatively open in May 2026.
- The CUET PG 2026 registration deadline has been extended till Jan 23, 2026 for admission to several PG courses. Further, CUET PG exam will be conducted in March 2026 (tentative).
- The UCEED 2026 cutoff marks for Part A for the BDes course will be available on Feb 5, 2026.
- CUET 2026 registration process has started for admission to several UG courses. Candidates can fill out the application form until Jan 31, 2026. The CUET exam 2026 is scheduled to take place from May 11, 2026, to May 31, 2026.

DTU Admission Overview 2026
DTU admission process 2026 is both entrance-based and merit-based. Candidates must visit the official for application details. The college offers numerous UG, PG and PhD programmes. Some of the courses are MA, BBA and BTech. BTech is the most popular programme at DTU. Admission to BTech is based on JEE Main scores, and the entire process of counselling is conducted by the Joint Admission Committee (JAC).
Delhi Technological University admission to all the remaining courses is based on national/ university-level entrance exams, such as UCEED, GATE, CAT, MAT, and CMAT, among others. However, there are a few MBA specialised courses and BBA, admission to which is offered based on the past qualifying exam (UG level) followed by an interview round at Delhi Technological University, Delhi.

No, candidates cannot get admission to DTU without appearing for JEE Main as the DTU BTech counselling is done through JAC Delhi. The basic criteria for admission to BTech is appearing for JEE Mains. To get into DTU, candidates must score decent marks or at least around 220 or above marks in JEE Mains. The only way to get into DTU without appearing for JEE Main is by taking a lateral entry admission to BTech second year. In order to do this, candidates must complete a Polytechnic course of two years and then appear for an entrance exam (not JEE Main but this exam will give you entry in DTU's second year.
At the UG level, Delhi Technological University also offers a four-year BDes programme in Design. Interested candidates can apply online on the official admission portal of DTU. Admission to a majority of courses at DTU is subject to a valid score in national/ state/ university-level entrance exams. The higher (better) the score, the higher are chances of admission. Students from General category must have JEE Mains rank above 10,000 to have high chances. In the last round of JAC Delhi counselling students with a rank ranging between 4810 and 24274 were able to score admission. However, the higher the rank, the less competitive specialisation was offered. This rank range mentioned is for Computer Engineering and Environmental Engineering, respectively.
The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 6628 and closing rank was 10716. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. DTU Admission Process 2026
1: Application Process 2026
Register to begin the application process. BTech programme's admission is done via the Joint Admission Counseling (JAC). Therefore candidates must visit the official website of JAC and register there by providing all the required details. For, BBA/ MBA candidates must apply through CMAC's official website. Further, for the rest PG and PhD programme candidates must apply via the DTU's official website.
2: Selection Process
Candidate's applications are scrutinised for the selection process. For, BTech JEE Main's score is considered for selection and BBA/BArch programme's selection is done based on the last qualifying exam. GATE, MAT exams are considered for the BTech, MBA and Executive MBA programme selection. For PhD, the selection is done based on the Entrance Test + PI conducted by the university.
3: Merit list/Seat allotment
UG candidates must register for the JAC counselling for seat allotment. Based on the selection process the university releases a provisional list with candidates' names who have qualified for the selection round.
4: Final selection
Once steps 1, 2, and 3 are completed seats are allotted as per the admission/ counselling bodies. Candidates must pay the DTU fee to confirm the seat.

In the field of Management, DTU offers three year BBA via the University School of Management and Entrepreneurship (USME). Divided into six semesters of six months each, admission to BBA programme offered by DTU is based on merit scores obtained by the students in the best of four subjects in Class 12.
