The cutoff trend for BTech at IIIT Bhagalpur - Indian Institute of Information Technology has been decreasing in recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under the General category for all India quota was 79213. In 2022, it decreased to 68306. Likewise, the cut-off ranks have changed from 108036 to 82739 for OBC, 236479 to 194161 for SC, 382536 to 407990 for ST, 153436 to 70166 for EWS, and 46383 to 2328 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for Engineering education in India continues to grow. The last year's 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Mechatronics Engineering at IIIT Bhagalpur - Indian Institute of Information Technology other than the General category are - 82739 for OBC, 194161 for SC, 407990 for ST, 70166 for EWS, and 2328 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut-offs also change a lot depending on the All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, the opening rank was 39641, and the closing rank was 68306. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even the domicile of the home state. In All India, the opening and closing rank for female candidates was 44170 and 57748. Admission to BTech in Mechatronics Engineering at IIIT Bhagalpur - Indian Institute of Information Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. The final placement report 2023 is yet to be released. Once it is out, the total number of BTech students placed in 2023 placement will be updated here. However, as the NIRF report 2023, 1,621 BTech students were placed out of total 2,058 students during Amrita Coimbatore BTech placements 2022. Earlier, in 2021, 1,671 students were placed out of total 2,265 students. Going back to 2020 placements, 1,569 students were placed out of total 2,101 students.

The Amrita University average package CSE offered during the 2023 placement drive is yet to be published on the official website. However, the Amrita Coimbatore Engineering NIRF report 2023 reveals that the median package offered to BTech students during the Amrita Coimbatore placements 2022 was INR 4.5 LPA. Earlier, the median package offered to BTech students during 2021 placements was INR 4.45 LPA.
