There are numerous B.Tech Programmes offered by the Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education. Such as computer Science and engineering, EEE, ECE, mechanical engineering, etc. The CSE-specific course fees range from 92500 to 185000 rupees. The fee structure for mechanical engineering ranges from 50,000 to 120,000. The fees for IT departments are charged 175,000, ECE departments are charged 150,000, and all other engineering departments are charged 1,00,000. Fees are not a concern. The process is described as follows:
Passed Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology. Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognised University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject. Provided that the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream, shall clear the subjects Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the First Year Engineering Programme along with the Second year subjects. Provided that the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream. Passed D. Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector. In the above cases, a suitable bridge Courses, if required such as in Mathematics may be conducted.
