No, you cannot do B.Tech directly after 12th in Aligarh Muslim University. Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) offers B.Tech programs through its Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and admission to the B.Tech programs is based on a candidate's performance in the AMUEEE (Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Examination). .

Admission to the first year of undergraduate Programme leading to the B. Tech/B.E. Degree is primarily on the basis of the inter se merit of JEE through On-line Off-Campus counselling conducted by HSCS through NIC*.
Thereafter on the basis of marks secured of (10+)2 examinations from any recognized board. A limited number of seats as per the guidelines of Haryana State Counselling Society will be offered for the direct admission. The criteria for the admission will be decided by BOG from time to time.
So, you can be hopeful for your admission in B.Tech courses.

The list of some of the top colleges in India includes IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, etc. After IITs, NITs (National Institute of Technology) are the ones considered after IITs by most of the B.Tech aspirants. There is a total of 31 NITs spread across the country. One can refer NIRF engineering and other rankings. Also few name to mention are BITS Pilani, Jadavpur University Jamia, VIT etc.
