Aerospace engineering is the primary field of engineering concerned with the development of aircraft and spacecraft. The Mechanical Department has highly experienced and qualified staff pursuing their research in thrust areas such as CAD/CAM, Mechanical design, Thermal engineering, Fluid dynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool design, and Flexible Manufacturing Systems/Automation. The department has to its credit more than 48 research publications in International, National Journals including prestigious ASME Transactions, International Conference and National Conference.
