Hello Ram Chauhan, if I may say so you are a bit confused perhaps. We normally use the word lateral admission when a student who has completed his Diploma in engineering is seeking admission directly into second year of four year degree course of engineering. But you are already doing your engineering from college and interested in changing you are college. Right? Frankly speaking it's very tough to do this. Theoretically it is possible to do this when the college in which you want to go belongs to the same university and the same branch you want to take admission. However if you had taken admission in a private engineering college the

LPU NEST will be exempted in case student has scored more than or equal to 90 percentile in JEE Mains or 90% aggregate marks in 10+2. So, qualifying the same you can directly proceed for Admissions. Hello Aishwarya, it's nice to know that you have completed your Diploma in electrical engineering. Your desire of completion of your graduation in engineering from the open university of IGNOU via distance education is fraught with danger. This is so because many times in the past AICTE as well as a Supreme Court of India have declared professional courses like engineering as not valid via distance education. My sincere advice to you would be do not think of doing graduation in engineering via distance mode. If the place where you must be working has a part time college offering engineering then you can think of it. Alternatively you h

Hello Akanksha Zutshi, no till now the classes for any college have not yet started. The government of Maharashtra has not yet given permission to start colleges. Presently permission is granted for the schools to reopen provided the local administration gives go ahead for this. In addition the admissions to the engineering colleges have not yet finished and hence as per my estimate the colleges are likely to begin only by middle of December or by January next year. Best wishes to you.

Hello Shubhra, I can understand the angst I am the anxiety in the minds of a girl who has just passed 12th. There are varieties of fields explore and engineering should be only one of them. My sincere advice would be not to get influenced by peer pressure but you should choose your own career in a subject that you love and like. To tell you frankly more than 50% of the fresh graduate engineers are not finding jobs. Hence getting admission in an engineering course should not be considered as achieving everything in life. I hope that you fine the correct subject which you love and like and finally make a career in this subject. Best wish
