Your UG background remains irrelevant if you can get past the test and have the right creative aptitude. And, Engineers are cool people who are able to understand and grasp anything easily. The salary package has a wide range. Anything between 4 - 9 Lacs p. a. But there are a few tier-1 companies like trident that offer more. I've heard it goes upto 15 Lacs p.a.

If you have completed your Diploma in any field of engineering or even B.Sc Maths, then you can get the lateral entry for the B.Tech programme. Yes, you have chance of getting the regular B.Tech. Just choose according to yout need and comfort level. Best of luck.

The main and the only difference between these two is that BE degree focus less on the practical, whereas the B.Tech degree focuses on practical more than that of the theory part.
