The candidate must have passed proficiency or Plus 2 level with Biology, English, Chemistry, and Physics with 50 percent marks in aggregate at minimum. Pass the common entrance exam with 50 marks minimum conducted by BAMS offering Universities in Nepal in merit order.
The universities providing the BAMS course open an application for the program. The students however have to attend the entrance examination to be able to study the program. The notice regarding the admission test is posted on the official website.

BAMS and MBBS are two different Medical degrees that students can pursue after completing Class 12. BAMS full form in medical is Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, while MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. MD can be pursued after a BAMS course. The full form of BAMS in medical terminology is Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery. It is an undergraduate course of 5.5 years in India. Doctor of Medicine is a postgraduate course and requires a Bachelors in medicine or related fields.

There are multiple components included in the SGT University BAMS fee, such as tuition fee, hostel fee, security deposit, etc. The total tuition fee for the course is INR 15.72 lakh. While the hostel charges are INR 6.3 Lacs and one-time fee is INR 52,500. Some of the fee components are one-time chargeable, while some have to be paid annually/semesterly.
