Prefer MCA for being safe and learn cloud computing and mobile application development as your interest. Diploma can cause you pain in terms of the Degree asking requirements in India.

After MCA you will get job of Software Developer/Engineer or Tester job in IT companies and IT department of Government/ PSU/Banks/Business Enterprises. You can also teach in schools. In addition, you will be eligible for all types of government, PSU, bank, defense services and paramilitary forces where eligibility criteria is graduation degree.

There is no cadre of computer professionals as developers or testers in government. Government needs for computer software and hardware is filled by organisations such as NIC, NISG, CDAC, etc. However, you are eligible for all government jobs including civil services where minimum educational qualification criteria is a graduation degree.
