The eligibility criteria for BDS at A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences (ABSMIDS) are as follows:
Pass in 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as one of the languages of study.
The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December of the year of admission and should be NEET-UG qualified. NEET qualification is a prerequisite for admission to BDS.

Manipal College of Dental Sciences is one of the most prestigious universities in India and offers excellent opportunities for U.G. and P.G. students. The top scholarships offered for BDS students are Kalam-Pai, Freeship, and Scholar Scholarships. Minimum eligibility for each scholarship is aggregate of 80% marks in Physics, Biology, and Chemistry in 10+2 or equivalent course. Also, to be eligble for Kalam-Pi, the NEET rank must be between 1-10,000, for Freeship, it ranges from 1-50,000 and for Scholar Scholarship, it is between 50,001-1,00,000.

- Students with 50% marks in Class 10 and Class 12 or an equivalent course who cleared the NEET-UG cut-off meet the eligibility criteria for this course. Only NEET-UG exam scores are accepted for admission; a candidate must secure a score equal to or more than the NEET cutoff. Generally, the NEET cut-off varies each year, although for BDS, the NEET cutoffs for general and reserved categories are 720-137 and 136-107 respectively. There is only one specialisation in BDS from manipal college of dental scuence, mangalore. Bachelor of dental surgery is the best option in this college . This course contains good placments and good infrastructure . The faculty members are well trained and certified and had a long experience.

Admission at Manipal College of Dental Sciences is done based on the NEET exam. A NEET UG score of 290+ is required for BDS admission whereas a NEET MDS score of 260+ is required for MDS admission in top courses.
