As per the registrar of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Kochi Campus) admission process for BDS Courses for the session 2023-2024 is still pending for some students of other states.
The new session will be started for all students that is from January with a mandatory one month orientation programme which will be held in December.

Candidates must qualify NEET UG with a decent rank and must have a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects. Looking at the past three-year cutoff of BVDC Sangli BDS, admissions at 295574 in 2024 while in 2023, it closed at 833869 and 1031725 in 2022. Students securing equal or above the cutoff score are offered admission in BDS programme.

Based on previous year trends, it has been observed that to attain a BDS seat in a government dental college, a candidate is required to score a minimum of 450 marks in NEET (subject to vary). A minimum of 50th percentile under general category for those who seek admissions in private dental colleges is a requirement.

Yes, candidates who are willing to get admitted to the undergraduate dental courses need to qualify NEET exam. The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the national application test for BDS admission. Students who enroll in the BDS course can pick from a variety of job options once they have completed the course. They may work for Medical Device Manufacturers, Pharmaceutical Firms, or Hospitals. Additionally, students have the option of opening their own Dental Office.

Admission to BDS course is based on NEET or NIMSEE score. After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Candidates who have appeared for NEET will be shortlisted as per the NEET Counselling. The total tuition fee of BDS is INR 7 lakh. Candidates are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Aspirants will also need to pay a registration fee to apply for admission.
