As of now the scope seems to be more in B.Pharma. But B.Tech is comparatively a new line and hence the prospects of growth are good. If you want to play it safe Priya then opt for B.Pharma and then also go for post graduation immediately thereafter.

The duration of this course is three years. It is must that the candidate should have pursued any three subjects i.e Physics, Chemistry, Zoology or Botany. Those who pursued Life science are also allowed to apply for this course. Normally the institutes insist that the candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% in these subjects. Also they will consider the score secured in the entrance exam conducted by them.

Vishal B.tech is a professional degree whereas B.Sc is a regular graduation degree. A professional degree is off course going to be better as compared to a regular degree as it is going to bring better opportunities your way. So, you go for a B.Tech degree rather than simple B.Sc.
There are many good universities around offering B.Tech Biotech, you can check their websites for more details.
Good luck.
