Most colleges have a different provision for admission. You need to contact the institute officials personally for specific admission details as it differs from one college to another.

While NCERT will be a great help while studying for any exam, only NCERT is not enough in most of the cases.
NCERT can be used to build basic concepts as it is surprisingly detailed in some places. But after that you should also study a little more advanced stuff. Specifically, for BITSAT, there's a previous years question papers book. They'll give you an idea about what to expect.
Now the books, you should arrange study packages of institutes such as fitjee, narayna, akash. In case you couldn't do the above step then look for pradeep books if you have them otherwise. Buy physical chemistry-r.c mukherjee, Organic chemistry-grb p

The Chemistry book(the NCERT book itself too) is decent for entrance exams(except for the organic part, you'll need extra material for that). The math syllabi in NCERT is good in parts, like for integration, but most other chapters are not sufficiently covered hence the extra reference material might not be enough. The physics book is not good at all.
Hope this information helps. Please feel free to revert. Click on the thumbs up or mark it as the best, if you found this useful.

Jee mains and BITSAT are relatively of the same level though Jee Mains is getting tougher every year. Well for Jee mains, solve NCERT Textbook Exercises and NCERT Exemplar of PCM thoroughly.
What I have realised is that they ask very typical objective questions from chemistry and maths. In physics, I would recommend you to go through the papers since the physics section is relatively tougher. For Jee Mains, also do topics like statistics, mathematical reasoning since they are very easy and fetch you marks. Download Jee mains 2014 and 2013 online papers also, it will give you an insight of the variety of the questions they ask.
