UGC NET 2018 Summary:
On behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET). UGC NET is conducted twice a year in order to select candidates for only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. Basic eligibility to pursue M.Sc. Botany from Andhra University is that candidate should have completed their graduation in Science with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Moreover, candidate should also have a valid score in the entrance exam conducted by AU. Regards.

Option 1: If you like botany, and want to pursue it further, you can take up M.Sc. In Botany
There are many institutes/universities who advertise positions for research work and they look for candidates with M.Sc. Botany. Option 2: You switch from botany to other specific biological field such as M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.Sc. Genetics & Cell biology, M.Sc. Environmental Science, M.Sc. Forestry. All these have quite good demand in research organisations. Option 3: You can go for the integrated M.Sc+PhD programme.
