The hostel charges at JNTUH including the School of Management Studies are variable. A refundable caution deposit (usually about 12,000 rupees plus a monthly rent is normally charged to students particularly those who are of the Telangana state although in other states it costs more). There are around 2,000 rupees per month as rent (not including mess charges) in ISH and RSQ2 hostels. Mess fees have to be paid separately, and tend to be 2,100 - 3,000/month. According to some sources, the annual hostel fee is about 28,000 (Rs).

School of management studies, JNTUH is usually rated as a good choice. It has NAAC accreditation of an A Grade and its courses are recognised by AICTE. The IIRF placed its MBA programme as the 62nd MBA programme in India of 2025. Reviews showed that students have good faculty, infrastructure and campus life, but placement figures are not uniform. It has placement cell and partnerships with foreign Universities.
