Camosun College

Camosun has specified the following exams and scores for all undergraduate and postgraduate applicants from non-English-speaking countries. These vary depending upon the course requirements:

*This minimum requirement applies to admissions to all majors offered in post-degree programs as well as degree programs offered by the Center for Sport and Exercise Education.

*This minimum requirement applies to general admission to most of the certificate and Diploma programs as well as the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program, excluding Nursing and some other Health-related programs.

Please note that these are the minimum requirements to apply to certain programs offered by the college. These requirements vary with every course and specialization. Some programs may have higher selection criteria. Merely meeting these requirements does not guarantee acceptance in any of the programs.

It is important to note that Camosun College does not have student dormitories. However, international students may procure housing services through accommodation programs offered in the following forms:

• Camosun Homestay program

• Private accommodation

Camosun Homestays Program

This program allows students to meet one host from a Homestay at either the Victoria International Airport, BC Ferries Terminal, or Victoria Bus Depot. This allows a student and host interaction which further leads to enquiry and interview for the selection process.

Homestays Facilities

• Private furnished bedroom with a study desk

• Homestay with and without food

• Shared home including living room, kitchen, and bathroom

• Laundry facilities and utilities such as heat and hot water

Homestay Cost*

• Students must also pay a one-time homestay service/application fee of CAD 225

• CELA – Camosun English Learning Adventures and Homestay Fees:

• Cost of living for 2 weeks, including food: CAD 550

• Cost of living for 4 weeks, including food: CAD 1,000

The International Admissions Team of Camosun College takes 72 working hours to announce the admission results of international applications. After receiving the complete application and supporting documents, the admission committee evaluates the applicant’s profile and sends out the admission decisions via email. Applicants are advised to stay active on emails as well as the college website to stay updated with the latest information regarding international admissions. Those who receive a conditional offer letter are required to meet the conditions as specified in their offer letters within the communicated time frame.
