The selection of candidates for Ab-initio (PPL) to CPL Course at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi, commonly called IGRUA is done as per merit compiled after Written Test, Pilot Aptitude Test and the Interview. Written test is two hours test consisting of questions on General English, Maths, Physics and Reasoning (10+2 standard). To become an air hostess, you shall take due care of your physical vital stats, your height and body weight all are important. Ensure that you do not get a permanent tattoo. Swimming and training in emergency situations is also important. Though each aviation company has its own training module before you start working and you can apply directly by going through the vacancies in the newspaper or you can join any institute for training and placement assistance.

There are various short-term courses and Diploma courses that you can pursue to make a career in the aviation industry. Though it is very important to select the right college for a good start. For being an air hostess, your physical-vital stats are important. You should not have any visible permanent mark or tattoo.

You can make your career in the defence services by appearing in NDA exam.
Rest, you can do Diploma of optometry and become an eye surgeon or after doing B.Sc, you can apply for merchant navy. Other options are BBA, BCA, etc.

If you want to become a technical product or services entrepreneur B.Tech, MBA is a good combination of education, else you may opt for BBA (if required MBA) after 120th.

Firstly, find out what his interests, likes and dislikes are. There are many options in Humanities itself however he needs to choose one as per his choice. Law, Economics, Political Sciences, Archeology are some popular options. He may choose to sit for the civil services exams as well.

Hi Navdeep,
Medical is a field requiring enough qualification and discipline particularly abroad. You will find certificate courses but after you complete your MBBS and MD. There are no short term courses on the whole unless you mention the area you want to focus in.
