NIOS is more flexible in subjects as compared to CBSE and yes, it is better to choose NIOS over CBSE.

You have lots of option, so don't lose hopes. Focus on your exam, complete your class 12th. There are so many colleges who left seats for students appearing in compartment exams. And also, you can do courses which do not require Maths as subject, so just pass your exam first then apply for colleges.
