Getting Job or placed only depends on your skills that you will gain during your B.Tech studies. Not only class 12th marks but class 10 marks percentage is also very much important for off campus placements. According to your mark, you are eligible for every government job exam. While there will be only problem when some companies keep condition that candidates marks in class 10th and 12th should be above 60 percent and this is not with every private job in engineering. In general, most companies do not really consider 10th or 12th board marks too much. Most times, the CGPA or percentage you get throughout your college years matters. There is no great weightage of 10th or 12th marks in the overall selection process. Most companies do not mind even if you have repeated a year. The very important parameters that are considered during campus placements are your grades, your knowledge, your projects and your training experience factor in the decision making process. Hope it helps.
