Central University of Punjab MSc course has two ways to get direct admission for the academic session 2025:

  • For MSc and short term programme you can apply for the open/ direct admission for vacant seat by filling the online registration form and paying the admission fees online. You can check the provisional selection list for various programs on the university website.

Central University of Punjab MSc cousre admission is subject to a valid score in CUET PG exam. Candidates must apply for the CUET PG exam via its official website. After the application process candidates are shortlisted based on the CUET exam. Further candidates with a valid CUET PG score can apply for the counselling process conducted by the Central University of Punjab. The candidate is required to fill out an application Form separately to participate in the counselling rounds. Finally, Central University of Punjab MSc seats will be allocated based on their CUET PG ranking and also on the available seats at the University.&nbs

Central University of Punjab MSc seats are allocated as per the counseling rounds that is conducted based on the CUET PG exam scores. After the counseling process, the university releases the provisional merit lists. All the candidates whose names are displayed on the admission are required to deposit the admission fee online through the online counseling portal for claiming their seat, failing which can lead to admission cancellation. Further, the Central University of Punjab also conducts spot or direct admission rounds for the remaining seats after the counseling rounds.

Central University of Punjab offers a total of 595 seats for its MSc course. The seats are further subdivided across the multiple MSc specialisations, namely Geography (40 seats), Microbiology (35 seats), Zoology (40 seats), Theoretical and Computational Chemistry (15 seats), and more. To secure the MSc seats, candidates must participate in the Central University of Punjab counseling process, conducted by the University based on the CUET PG 2025 exam scores.

Yes, admission dates for the MSc course admission is out at Central University of Punjab. Since admisson to the MSc course is subject to CUET PG exam therefore candidates must refer to the entrance exam's dates. Further, the University releases the in-house admission dates for the counselling and provisional lists. CUET PG 2025 Hall Ticket released by NTA, the exam officials on the official website for the candidates whose exam will be held from March 13, 2025, to March 20, 2025. The admit cards for the CUET PG 2025 exam are being released phase-wise.

The Central University of Punjab accepts CUTE PG exams for admission to its MSc course. Interested applicants can access the CUET PG 2025 application form by visiting the official website. The first process will be registering themselves on the official web portal of CUET PG 2025. Through that registered account, further processing of filling out the application form will be done. 

CUET PG 2025 exam is being conducted by NTA from March 13, 2025, to April 1, 2025, for admissions to the masters degree and professional courses.

Central University of Punjab does offers MSc course at postgraduate-level via different departments across multiple specialisations including Geography, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Environmental Science and Technology, Molecular Medicine, and more.  The MSc course is offered in a full-time mode lasting for two years.

Admission to the MSc course is based on the merit of the students in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG conducted by NTA. Aspirants willing to apply for Central University of Punjab admission 2025 for MSc must register themselves for CUET PG exams and appear for the same.

Central University of Punjab MSc fee is around INR 8,000 for two years. At the time of admission, the fee charged from the students includes tuition fee, examination fee, laboratory fee, sports fee, computer and internet fee and many other components. Further, candidates must also pay the CUEt PG application fee. The application fee amount will be different as per category/ number of subjects applied by the candidates.

For eligibility to the B.Sc. Hons (Chemistry) course at the Central University of Punjab, one needs to write the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) first. The minimum marks prescribed is 45% in Class 12 from a well-recognized board with Chemistry as a subject. Admission is through the CUCET merit followed by counseling.
