Yes, fashion students can also go for research if they are interested. The university has many research labs and groups where projects are carried out in different fields. Even in design, students work on topics like textiles, eco-friendly dyeing, handcraft revival, digital fashion, and sustainable design. With the help of mentors, these ideas can be developed into proper research work. If the project is strong, it can be published in journals or presented at seminars. Many students publish papers even during undergraduate programs when they show good work

Yes, yes Chandigarh University do provide hostel facilities for Fine Arts students. As far as I know, Hostels are clean and well-managed. Rooms are very big, and comfortable enough for students. Daily cleaning is done and things stay in order. 24x7 electricity and Wi-Fi are available. This helps with studying and also when you just want to relax or talk to family online. The mess food is honestly amazing. It's managed by Sodexo now which is a french food management brand, and they give us different food every day. The food tastes nice and is always hygienic. The warden is very helpful and friendly.

Yes, you can get admission in Fine Arts at Chandigarh University even if you did not study Maths in 12th. For this course, subject choice in school does not matter much. The main eligibility is very simple. A student should have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam in any stream from a recognised board with at least 50% marks in total. Even students who have done a three-year Diploma in any branch with minimum 50% marks are also eligible to apply. So, whether you had Science, Commerce, Humanities, or any other stream, you can still go for Fine Arts. This course is made for students who are interested in creativity, drawing, painting, or d

After finishing B.Design in Fashion Design from Chandigarh University you do not just step into a single career path you actually get multiple options to choose from. Some students become designers working with retail brands or start their own labels, while others get into the business side of fashion like merchandising, buying or production management.  Industrial Design can be a good start if you want to work in product design. Chandigarh University's course gives a mix of learning and making things. Students learn the basics of design, drawing, and software. They also do projects and visit companies to see how real products are made. The labs and workshops help students practice their ideas and turn them into models. Teachers with experience guide students, helping them understand both creative and practical sides of design. The programme also teaches how to solve problems, make ideas clear, and present them properly, which is needed in the product design world.

Yes, Chandigarh University do provide placement training for Industrial Design students. Each mentor handles only a small group of students. This means every student gets proper attention. If someone has doubts in studies, mentors explain and make things easy. The assigned mentors guide and help students in studies, career choices and even personal growth. The best part is that mentors are chosen based on what a student needs and what they are interested in. This makes the guidance more useful and personal.
