Earlier, Class 11 Chemistry included full chapters on Hydrogen and s-block elements, covering topics like isotopes, hydrides, alkali and alkaline earth metals. But in the new supplementary syllabus, both Chapter 9 and 10 have been completely removed to reduce academic load. These deletions are part of NCERT's rationalization under NEP 2020. So now, you won't find hydrogen or s-block topics in your core syllabus, though they still matter for competitive exams like NEET or JEE.

Mumbai University does not provide an option for part-time or distance study for the M.Sc. With a CUET PG score of 52, you have a chance of getting admitted into some central universities for Chemistry courses, though competition may be high. Consider applying to universities like the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Central University of Kerala, or Central University of Punjab that Banaras Hindu University, Delhi University, and Jawaharlal Nehru University are also options, but may require a higher score for their more competitive programs.

Yes, you can complete an MSc in Inorganic Chemistry from Mumbai University while teaching at school if you can organize your time well. If there are options to study part-time, or in the evenings, you may be eligible to study pursuant to an MSc qualification. You must check eligibility - that is, you need a BSc with Chemistry as well as the course structure, times and attendance rules before signing up.
