Either you want to be a pure chemistry or want to be a cosmetic chemist, you have options to pursue and to choose, you may study in B.Sc. Cosmetic Formulation/Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical engineering, Biochemistry or even Biology/Microbiology. It is preferable to have a B.Sc in Cosmetic formulation, which has a direct course on product development, quality control and regulations. The other degrees offer a good base Science so you can later become a specialist with a Master in Cosmetic Science or by means of employment in the industry. The chapter, Chapter 9, Amines, contains a 6 marks (it has a regular weightage) in the theory paper consisting of 70 marks in CBSE Class 12 Chemistry. This qualifies it to be a significant chapter under the Organic Chemistry section which as a whole obtains the most weightage. With the score of 50 out of 300 in CUET PG Chemistry exam, it is too low and it is very unlikely to get into the most central universities such as DU, JNU, or BHU because in general they have much higher cutoffs (170-200 and above in general category). But there would have some chances of admission in few privately run Universities or less competitive state Universities with lower cutoffs or where other factors are taken into account.
