These days, on job training during the engineering course is debated in the country. This was as a result of different studies finding freshly passed out engineers not capable of taking on job immediately. AICTE is therefore mulling to include this in 4 year engineering course. But presently there is no training in the syllabus of engineering courses across India.

At least, presently there is no mandatory training while doing engineering. However, AICTE is thinking of introducing this in coming years to improve employability of pass out engineers. But then, this is in future at present.
