For joining civil engineering, you need to have PCM in 12th. Also, you need to appear and pass with a good marks entrance exam. Have you done any of these? Else continue to do B.Sc.

I am suggesting this to you because first year's syllabus is mostly same and he can still change his stream before 3rd semester starts by giving a TU-Test which most student who wish to change their streams, also the Syllabus is same as IIT syllabus so it won't be any difficult for him.

(A) The first year of post SSC.
(i) The candidate should be an Indian national;
(ii) Passed secondary school certificate (SSC) or its equivalent with at least 35% aggregate marks.
(B) Direct second year of Post SSC.-
(i) The candidate should be Indian national;
(ii) Passed higher secondary school certificate (HSC) in science or HSC in science with vocational or HSC in science with technical or SSC with 2 years of ITI with appropriate specialization.
