The course duration is 4 and half years for a Diploma student.

MS or M.Arch is for design course.

You can Pursue B.Arch or Diploma in Architecture or Interior Design Course or Product Design Course, depends on your area of interests. There are a lot more options.

Apart from IITs and NITs, every state has its own share of good colleges, providing quality education and placements. It depends on the branch of engineering, you wish to pursue and the state where you wish to pursue the same.

You can opt for building technology, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering or water resource engineering.

B.Tech through lateral entry (direct second entry) will be the best option for you or you can even get a job and pursue B.Tech through correspondence, the choice is yours.

GATE entrance examination helps to get admission into government colleges in India for M.Tech. Certain jobs also demand for a valid GATE score. GATE score is also accepted by many private engineering colleges for admission into M.Tech.
GRE entrance examination helps to get admission into courses abroad. You also need to appear for TOEFL to be able to get admission into universities abroad. If you're financially good, you can opt for this option.
