For admission to B.Tech. Course the candidate should have passed in qualifying examination i.e. H.S.C./10+2 or ICSC or equivalent. The candidate should also have passed in HSC with Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects along with any one of following subjects – Chemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology, and Biology. Candidate also should obtained 50% marks in Physics, Maths and any one optional subject taken together.

Dear Ranjita, I will advice you to try for IIT once again. IIT degrees are reputed all over the world. Studying in India will also lessen any financial burden. Dear Imran, look for options in Australia as it is supposed to be a top destination for civil and construction engineering. However as per your query, for MS in UK you need not take GRE, only IELTS is required. USA requires GRE and TOEFL. For details visit a few university websites. Hello Akshat. The salary depends upon the college you take admission in. Fir subjects, you will have to be good at engineering mechanics, strength of materials, analysis of trusses, frames and beams. Basically you need to be able to visualize things in to physical world and be good at physics.

As admission criteria to any engineering stream requires PCM only so you can take admissio in Civil engineering in any college. Also civil engineering is a course which has considerable low placements in ordinary colleges so you should select your college selectively having good placement track records.
