Yes, you are eligible for the exam as any graduate is eligible for the civil services exam. So, prepare well and try to score better marks in the exam.

No, you have to be a graduate then only you can take this exam or you can take the exam which is of class 10th or 12th level.

It depends on you which course you want to pursue. If you have completed B.Tech then I suggest you to not to go with M.Tech, try to get a job or try to find in which field you can do good.

Here are the exam which you have to pass to become an IPS officer
1. Preliminary ExaminationThe preliminary examination will consist of two papers of objective type (multiple choice questions) and carry a maximum of 400 marks. This examination is meant to serve as a screening test only.
2. Main Examination
The main examination will consist of 9 papers in total comprising of conventional essay type questions.
3. Interview/Personality TestThe interview will carry 275 marks (with no minimum qualifying marks).
Marks obtained by the candidates (in the main examination as well as interview) would determine their final ranking.
