To become an IAS officer, you need to:
1. Have a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
2. Clear the Civil Services Preliminary Examination.
3. Clear the Civil Services Main Examination.
4. Appear for a Personal Interview conducted by the UPSC.

The UPSC exam pattern for the Mains stage consists of 9 papers conducted over 5 to 7 days. Only those candidates who secure at least the declared cut off in General Studies I and 33% in General Studies II in Prelims will be allowed to appear for the Mains Examination. The 9 papers in IAS Exam (Mains) are as follows: Paper A (Compulsory Indian Language); Paper B English which are qualifying in nature, while the other papers like Essay, General Studies Papers I, II, III, and IV, and Optional Papers I and II are considered for the final ranking. Education Qualification for IAS exam: Candidate must hold a Graduate Degree from a recognised University. UPSC Civil Services Exam Age Limit: Candidate must be a minimum of 21 years of age and must not be more than 32 years of age. General Category & EWS: 32 years; 6 attempts. You choice also optional in Hindi medium.

When you preparing for UPSC you need to read every thing in a syllabus but a big part of UPSC is related to history and modern history so it's useful if you chose arts and learn every thing then you need to only revice the syllabus and you save time in completing syllabus
choosing Arts or the humanities in your 11 and 12th and graduation can be really helpful for your UPSC examination, this is because in Arts you will be learning subjects like history, polity etc. Which are a part of the UPSC syllabus so it will help you in your UPSC examination.

Yes, there is a medical standard but not mention about the figures so yes you are eligible for UPSC and IPS.
