IHM Guwahati NCHM JEE closing rank varies every year as it depends upon different factors, such as number of applicants, seat intake, the highest exam score, etc. In 2024, the closing rank for the BSc HHA course was 1324. This was the most competitive in the last three years'. In 2023 and 2022, the closing ranks were 8780 and 10314, respectively. Candidates who meet the cutoff criteria are admitted to the UG programme.

IHM Guwahati admit candidates to the BSc HHA course based on merit in NCHM JEE scores. This national-level entrance test is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), every year. The entrance exam consists of multiple-choice questions. NCHM JEE question paper has a total of 200 questions based on Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language, and Aptitude for the Service Sector.
