The National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA), famously known as NLU Assam offers a full-time, integrated BA LLB (Hons) programme. The duration of the programme is five years. Admission to the NLU Assam BA LLB course is based on the applicant's rank in CLAT. Additionally, candidates are required to go through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) counselling process conducted by the Consortium of NLUs for seat allotment.
To be eligible for BA LLB (Hons) admission at NLU Assam, candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
- A minimum of 45% in Class 12 or an equivalent examination
- A minimum of 40% in Class 12 or an equivalent examination in the case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD category
NLU Assam BA LLB (Hons) Fees 2025
The fee structure of NLU Assam courses is cumulative of multiple components, such as tuition fees, admission fees, library fees, etc. The total NLU Assam BA LLB (Hons) tuition fee is INR 4 lakh. The tuition fee is payable in yearly instalments of INR 80,000. Additionally, selected students must pay an admission fee of INR 10,000 and a refundable deposit of INR 30,000 at admission. For admission to NLU Assam for the LLB or LLM course, the result of CLAT 2024 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 After the release of result, the exam takers will be able to download their CLAT scorecards from the official website using their login credentials for NLU Assam admission via CLAT counselling and seat allotment.
CLAT 2024 result contains details like the candidate's overall and sectional scores, and merit rank. Those who will qualify CLAT 2024 by meeting the required minimum cutoff as per the merit list are called for counselling process for seat allotment.
Note that for admission to the 5-year LLB or LLM courses, the candidate will have to meet the CLAT 2024 cut-off in their respective category. As per the CLAT RGNUL 2nd cut off 2025, the closing rank for general category candidate is 1260 through All India counselling. There is no state quota seats available at NLU Patiala in the 2nd allotment list.
