Please refer to the brochure for complete details on admission into technical university of Munich (MS). You should be able to decide which exam you are comfortable with (GATE or GRE). GATE and GRE are two very different exams, hence comparison is difficult. Go through the syllabus and type of questions asked which should help you decide which exam to prepare for. You need above 710 score in GMAT. If you are opting for GRE nothing less than 315 is what I would say.

With 6.79 CGPA it is almost impossible if you don't have a strong research profile. Since your academics are poor you have to strong in other areas such as research, project work, patent, publications, etc. The recommendation letters from your professors will be invaluable. Also you have to prepare a strong SOP.
