Student dorms are better for Indian students at TUM Germany. Dorms are more affordable, offer easy access to campus, and are better for socialising with peers. Private apartments do offer more freedom, but are also more expensive.

Yes, TUM Munich penalises students for late payment of tuition or semester fees, usually by automatic disenrollment (Exmatrikulation).

This means students end up losing their status, and won't be allowed to attend classes, exams, or obtain student discounts in Germany.

  • UG: Students must have a School leaving certificate 
  • PG: For admission to the Master's courses of the Uni of Stuttgart, Indian students are required to have a Bachelor's degree
  • Language requirements (German or English)

For students who want to study in the Uni of Stuttgart courses, German language proficiency is required for some courses. In that case, Indian students can submit the following German language certificates-

  • TestDAF
  • DSH (overall DSH 2 or above)
  • Goethe Certificate C1 or C2

Indian students who want to take admission to the Uni of Stuttgart can apply via Campus Management System. There is no application fee to apply to Stuttgart Uni. APS Certificate and documents like academic transcripts, language certificate, etc. are required for the University of Stuttgart admissions.

A total 20,536 students were enrolled at the Uni of Stuttgart in the Winter semester 2025/26. Out of this,  10,000+ are admitted to the UG courses of Stuttgart Uni. More than 8,300 students are enrolled in the Master's courses. A number of UG and PG courses are offered by Stuttgart Uni.
