The Institute of Hotel Management, Kovalam, is a government institute where admissions are done on the basis of the NCHMCT JEE rank. So you need to score 80 percent or higher in the NCHMCT JEE to get IHM kovalam.

Yes, the Institute of Hotel Management Kovalam is a little bit more expensive than the AIHM Institute of Hotel Management Shimla.
For example, the one-year fee at IHM Kovalam for B.Sc. and Diploma courses is INR 1,12,350/- and 38,740/-, respectively, while the one-year fee at AIHM Shimla for B.Sc. and Diploma courses is INR 1,06,900/- and 36,650/- respectively.
