Comparing the colleges, for a B.Tech degree, AIMST University is relatively better. IIT Guwahati is one of India's top engineering institutions; it does well across various national rankings, including the NIRF rankings. Also, its curriculum is relatively strong and provides good faculty and placement opportunities, as average salaries for graduates with B.Tech in IIT Guwahati are approximated to be INR 22.5 LPA. AIMST University does offer good quality education but will not match IIT Guwahati in regard to recognition or placement figures. BSc at Gauhati University is offered in multiple specialisations and accross various affiliated colleges. The mode for most of the programmes is full-time offline mode. That means the candidates have to appear for classes and evaluation at the university campus or the affiliated college. University website has not mentioned any online or distance-learning programmes for its BSc course. Candidates can enquire with their respected college for any distance learning option.

Yes, as BSc admission takes place through the score and rank secured in CUET entrance exam, the candidate has to apply for the exam to gain admission into the programme. Gauhati University does not accept or conduct any other exam for admission into the BSc programme. In addition to that, candidates should also have a minimum aggregate of 40% in their Class 12 to be eligible for admission into the Gauhati University BSc programme.

Gauhati University recognises both state and central board scores for admission into the BSc programme. Some of the boards include CBSE, AHSEC, ISCE, ISC etc. Candidates can apply for admission at the university if they have secure a minimum aggregate of 40% from a state or central recognised board. The admission into the programme take place through the CUET-UG entrance exam. So, Candidates will have to appear for that exam once they have cleared their Class 12.

No, candidates can not take direct admission into Gauhati University BSc as the admission take place through the CUET entrance exam. Candidates have to secure a valid score in the CUET-UG entrance exam to be eligible for admission. To be eligible for admission at Gauhati University BSc candidates need to have a minimum aggregate score of 40% in Class 12 from any recognised state or central board.
