Chitkara is the option. Chitkara is NAAC accredited University & fastest growing private university in North India. In short words, it provides the quality of education, facilities, curricular activities, global exposure for its students and also best in the based on placement concerns.

Colleges like SPA-D, NITT are better for B.Arch in my opinion. However, the college that you have mentioned are also good.

Chitkara University is also one of the best places for civil engineering. University has quality faculty & provides a good learning environment for its students. Facilities & industry exposure for students is good here. In civil engineering, University has campus recruiters like L&T, HCC, Technip, GMR Infrastructure Gammon Infra etc who visits campus regularly for placements.

Hello Babli,
For admission into B.Arch programs in NITs and GFTIs you need to write JEE Mains paper 2 and yes, you need to clear it with a high score.
To get B.Arch in IITs you need to appear for 4 exams namely JEE Mains papers 1 and 2, then you need to clear JEE advanced and then you need to clear AAT (architecture aptitude test).

Yes, you can try for NIT's. Your category quota might fetch you a seat in one of the NIT's. NIT Hamirpur most probably because previous year's closing rank was highest for NIT Hamirpur.
