PRSU admits student on merit basis. For most UG courses and all PG Diploma courses, the university accepts scores of last qualifying examination. No, for the General AI category, a rank of 500 would not guarantee admission at NIT Durgapur in the third round. As per this round, the NIT Durgapur CCMN cutoff 2026 was 266 for the above-mentioned category.

Ganga Institute of Education B.Ed eligibility criteria require candidates to complete the last qualifying examination from a recognised university. Admissions to the programme are purely merit-based. One must fulfil any of the following criteria to get into the B.Ed course at Ganga Institute of Education:

• Students who have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/Humanities/ BBA/ MBA with a minimum aggregate of 50% ( 47.5% for reserved categories)
• B.E/ BTech with specialisation in Science and Mathematics/ BCA/ MCA with a minimum aggregate of 55% (52.5% for reserved categories)

There is a high chance of securing admission to NIT Durgapur with a score of 500 in the GATE exam. The last round for NIT Durgapur cutoff 2025 among General AI category candidates closed at a range of 350 to 562.
