Yes, NIT Durgapur offers BTech + M.Tech (Dual) degree in two specialisations for five years each. Candidates are required to complete Class 12 (Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology as an optional subject) with at least 75% aggregate to apply for the dual degree. Candidates need to pass GATE to get a seat in NIT Durgapur M.Tech programme. NITD offers seats under Sponsored and Self-Sponsored Category. After qualifying GATE, candidates are required to come for CCMT Counselling.

GATE cutoffs are released online, aspirants with score equal or above cutoff, become eligible for CCMT Counselling. Shortlisted candidates need to register for CCMT Counselling to become eligible for seat allotment. Selected aspirants are required to confirm their seat by paying the course fee.

MTech is one of the popular courses of NIT Durgapur. NIRF has ranked NIT Durgapur at 44 in 2024 rankings under 'Engineering' Category. For NIT Durgapur M.Tech admission, candidates must apply for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. The exam is scheduled between February 4 and 12.
