No, Indian students should not worry about University College Dublin not being in the global top 50 universities in the world.

As per the QS World rankings 2026, UCD ranks #118 globally, and it places this university among the top 1% of all institutions in the world.

For Indian students, the factors given below make more sense to think about -

  • Strong employer reputation
  • PSW visa
  • Location in Europe Tech capital

University College Dublin is ranked better under QS which is #118 globally than the Times Higher Education, which ranks UCD at #201

Actually, QS heavily weighs subjective surveys and employer perceptions. This information is quite useful, especially for the factors given below -

  • Visas
  • Post-study work planning
  • Evaluating an institution's ROI

January is an awesome alternative to the TU Dublin September Intake for many of its courses. The reason being that it allows the applicants to start their studies sooner rather than waiting for a whole year

But, Indian students also have to check whether their desired programme is available in the January intake or not.

As per an unofficial source, the September (Autumn) intake at TU Dublin is the safest and the most practical choice for Indian students.

The TU Dublin September intake provides ample time to get the final results and then move to the given steps -

  • Secure your Irish student visa
  • Arrange the competitive Dublin accommodation
