Candidates seeking admission to SKUAST BSc (Hons) must have passed the Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with PCB/ PCM/ PCBM/ Agriculture (with Science subjects), besides English with 50% aggregate for OM, NRI/ NRI-sponsored category, and 40% aggregate for reserved categories.
Candidates hailing from states/ UTs other than Jammu and Kashmir & Ladakh can only seek admission under the NRI/ NRI sponsored quota for BSc (Hons) Agriculture, BSc (Hons) Horticulture and against Self Financing, seats for Postgraduate courses kept under the All India Basis category.

The allotment of hostel seats in Government College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu, is majorly based on availability. Preference would be given to students from outside the city. The hostel accommodation provided is shared and either a two- or three-student-per-room accommodation. Yes, as B.Ed is a practical based course. So there are assignments & practical in both distance & regular mode. I would suggest that instead of choosing outside the state, choose your local area or nearby state. As your intention is not to get the degree but to remain in the education field. So, whenever you choose the local area you can teach practices in the local area so that whenever you will apply for job or selected it will be easy for you. Rather than getting a degree.
