NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, SKUAST ranks #20 under the category 'Agriculture and Allied Sectors'.
The CMAT 2026 result has been declared for SKUAST admission to the MBA/PGDM/MMS courses. Students can download their scorecards by logging into the official website.
A few more updates are given below:
- The MAT 2026 May session registrations have started for admission to the MBA course. For the PBT mode, the registration deadline is May 25, 2026, with the exam scheduled for May 31, 2026. For the CBT mode, the last date to register is Jun 8, 2026, for the exam taking place on Jun 14, 2026.
- The CAT 2026 registration is expected to start in the Aug, 2026 for admission to the MBA course.

SKUAST is a state agricultural university. It is affiliated to Indian Council of Agricultural Research. It offers courses in streams such as- Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Forestry, Fisheries, Agricultural Engineering, Home Science, Environmental Science, Sericulture, etc.. Commonly asked questions On Highlights
SKUAST Jammu does not offer direct admission. Aspirants first need to fill out the application form for the preferred course and then appear for SKUAST-J CET conducted by the university. SKUAST-J CET for UG courses is offered for a duration of three-years. For PG courses, the duration is two and a half year. Once the selection round is completed, the university releases a category-wise merit list. Shortlisted aspirants have to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.
SKUAST accepts UG, PG and PhD students on the basis of valid scores in SKUAST J CET exam. Aspirants applying through ICAT Quota are offered seats through All India Counselling by ICAR after CUET. Admission under VCI Quota is offered through NEET based on the list provided by VCI via their counselling portal.
Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Jammu usually releases the application form in May. The application closes by June. SKUAST also opens the correct window for submitted application form in the first week of June. Aspirants can apply online once the portal opens for the preferred course.
SKUAST Jammu has a total intake of 176. Candidates are offered seat in BSc (Hons) based on SKUSAT-J CET score. Selected aspirants need to participate in SKUAST Counselling round. Candidates need to bring the specified documents for verification. Once the seat is allotted, aspirants have to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

SKUAST Jammu Placement 2022
The University has established seven career counselling and placement centres across faculties with a strength of 36 Scientists. The career counselling and placement centres with its headquarter at Shalimar perform the following major functions.
- Conducting on-campus placement melas by establishing contacts with prospective employers in private and public sector institutions
- Conducting career counselling sessions for the benefit of the student community
- Assisting the students in preparing and uploading their resumes on relevant sites in order to expose them to the relevant job market
There is no information on the official website for placements, 2019 however as per Shiksha review there were few companies that visited for the campus placement. Most of the student took postgraduation or doctoral courses further.
