From my experience, GIBS doesn't treat these new-age areas like optional topics — they're actually built into how we learn. Digital marketing, analytics, fintech, consulting, and all these emerging roles come through workshops, case studies, tools training, and even internships. For example, we've had industry sessions on SEO/ads, analytics tools, financial modelling, consulting frameworks, etc.

The good part is that it's not textbook-heavy, it's more skill-based, so by the time placements start, people already have exposure to how these domains work in real companies. That mix of classroom + live projects + corporate talks actually m

GIBS puts a lot of effort into giving students spaces and resources to actually try things out, not just study theories. We have the IRE lab for innovation/entrepreneurship stuff, leadership clubs, guest speaker sessions, CEO talks, and a bunch of events that make you step out of your comfort zone.

Plus, the campus itself has setups for presentations, workshops, and live projects, so you get industry exposure on a constant basis. Honestly, it's a mix of facilities + events + mentorship that pushes students to build confidence and leadership in a very natural way.

At GIBS, internships and live projects are pretty regular. The college keeps bringing companies, tasks, and short-term projects throughout the course, so we get plenty of chances to work with corporates and try things in real time.

Honestly, it feels more practical than just classroom learning because we're constantly doing something for industry. It also helps with placements later since you already have multiple projects on your profile.

Even I wasn't from a commerce or management background, so honestly I was a bit nervous in the beginning about the PGDM subjects. But at GIBS they actually make the transition easy. They start with a Foundation Program where they cover all the basics like accounts, marketing, economics and analytics, so by the time the regular classes start you don't feel lost.

Also, the way they teach is very application-based, so even if you're hearing business terms for the first time it makes sense quickly. Plus, a lot of peer learning happens through group projects and case studies, so you learn from different perspectives. After the first month it

Honestly, what I really liked at GIBS was how the faculty is a mix of pure academics and people from the actual corporate side. It gives you two angles at the same time — the theory part and then the “how it actually works out there” part. For example, when an academic faculty explains a concept, the industry faculty will add a real case or scenario where the same thing played out in a company.

It makes the whole classroom feel way more practical and updated. As a student, it helped me connect the dots between what we study and what's expected in placements or internships. Overall it adds a lot of value because we don't just learn

Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a strong choice for pursuing Mechanical Engineering, especially if you want to go for further studies afterwards. LPU's Mechanical Engineering programme provides a solid foundation in core subjects like thermodynamics, mechanics of materials, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, machine design, and manufacturing processes, alongside exposure to modern tools like CAD/CAM, robotics, and automation. This helps students build both strong theoretical understanding and practical skills, which are essential for advanced academic work such as M.Tech or research degrees. One of the key strengths of Mechan
