Literally, its more or less the same depending on the employer. But in general, co-ops are paid and full-time positions and is a part of your university or college course. The university will help you with it since it has a tie-up with one or more company or organizations. Internships, however, can be part time or full time and may be unpaid or paid and you have to do it independently after studies.
